- Car Free: Car-free lifestyle; some US cities have good walkability and transit systems; in some places, you could easily live without a car
- Public Transit: information from American Public Transportation Association; serves to strengthen and expand public transportation; includes Transit Systems directory where you can connect to Web sites of local transit options
- Car Sharing: Avoid owning a car; be car-free as much as possible, but keep the idea that you can rent or borrow a car only when you need it--for a big project or trip to far-out areas, for example
