Users can be producers, consumers, or producer/consumers of information or content.
Unlike television and radio, or paper-based newspapers or magazines,
the Web's media is often under the control of individuals.
These individual producers of information
create content that many people may use and see.
In turn, these users may create content.
Through electronic mail, and because of the smaller scale of
most Web sites versus the audience for most mass media,
these creators and producers can be in close
contact with each other.
The result is a dynamic information marketplace on the Web.
