This file will contain references to pages in The World Wide Web Unleashed, either the earlier editions (1994, 1995, 1996) or the current edition (1997). I may supply some of the answers to the questions in my other webs, such as The HTML Station or the Web Development web. In such cases, I'll give you pointers from here to those locations.

  I use your guide and I learn a lot about HTML, thank you. I have one question which I haven't seen an answer about it: How can I load a URL without a link to it?

  Answer: Don't be embarassed by this question; I think it might be one of the most frequently asked by new users.

  You can use your Web browser's menu bar to open a particular URL. Different brands of Web browsers have different options to do this, but explore the options at the top of your browser. The words you'll look for are typically: File / Open Location or Open URL. Once you find the proper selection, a dialog window should appear on your screen; type into this box the URL you want to visit and then hit return.

  Unfortunately, the newer versions of the most popular browsers seem to bury this "open URL" activity deep within their menu bar. I think it would be easiest to have this as an option right on the tool bar.
